Tecni-Cable increases its manufacturing capability with the purchase of a 150 tonne Talurit press

Monday, Oct 05, 2009

Tecni-Cable is pleased to announce its latest acquisition, a 150-tonne Talurit hydraulic swager. The press will ferrule secure eyes onto cable up to 22mm in diameter and increase hexagon swaging capacity for stainless steel fittings on cable up to 10mm diameter. The press has a single pillar open throated design and can be used either vertically or horizontally; bench mounted or free standing.

Managing Director, Trevor Heyworth is eager to stress the benefits of the new swager. “Our new press will allow us to increase our in-house manufacturing capacity and broaden our product range to both new and existing customers. We can now make much larger lifting slings, put end fittings onto crane and elevator cables and manufacture larger stainless, architectural and marine cables. We can also manufacture bespoke assemblies to your design or specification."

"We already have four hydraulic presses here, but the the extra manufacturing capacity that the new press will provide will allow us to improve our service both to Tecni-Cable customers and to customers of our new sister company, Tecni-Lift which is growing rapidly. Please give us a call to discuss your requirement and we will ensure your enquiry is handled without delay."
