Yasaki to open a wire cable plant in Gafsa

Tuesday, Apr 14, 2009

It is reported that Yasaki, one of the leading cable and wire groups of the world’s cable and wire market, will open a major plant in the southern town of Gafsa. Yasaki, which will also open a plant in le Kef, in western Tunisia in 2009, is tabling on the region’s competitiveness, in terms of human potential and infrastructure.

The project which will be operational in 2009, will be carried out in two parts. The first part concerns the direct investment by the group of TND 43 million in order to set up a 23,000 square meter plant which will generate some 3000 jobs, including 500 destined to university diploma holders.
